Default Catch for Swing away.

Does anyone know where i can geta a heavy duty catch for a home fabed swingaway tire carrier. Something similar to the ones on the Kamar Pootrol rear bars. I tried getting one from Kamar but they wont sell me one.

Slam shut latches are geting more popular now, do a google on 'Bear Claw' latches if you're interested, a lot of hot rod shops sell them.

In the XJ section there was some discussion on rear bars a couple of weeks ago and I think there were also some latch links in there.

Cheers
Steve

Just another idea on the slam latches, a good bonnet one could be made to work, but its just an idea.
