I know what you mean, I think though to do that they would have to drop the patriot quite a bit for the compass to fit in in the middle? I find it hard to see how have two small SUVs competing with each other unless they broaden the price difference. We'll find out more next year, even us dealers dont get told much!!

The dash looks nice n clean & uncluttered. The dash of my neighbour's X5 (which I'm assuming is the segment the Compass is aiming for, at the lower end of course) looks like something out of a old Soviet nuclear reactor control room.
