I am seriously looking at Cooper SRX, I have been quoted $350.

Cheers

U won't notice the power it is that much, fuel maybe a 1litre per hundred, looks heap better....speedo will be 2k over at 100.

Hi Craig,

Just got back from around 1000km trip towing the van down to Forster NSW.

Kept the 20s on for a test (all blacktop). Ran the tyres at 40psi front and 42 psi rear.

Gee, the Cooper SRX's are impressive!

Extremely quiet - brilliant in the wet and super smooth. Great tyres! We have both made a good choice, I reckon!

Just for your info, fuel econ was 16.8 lph, doing 95-100kph. Oil temp sat around 115 and trans temp 93.

The Jeep hauls 2.7 tonnes like it's under 2000kg! Plenty of power to overtake slower cars, etc.

A delight to tow with and a very comfy car to travel in.

Cheers,
Sally

Sounds good Sal.
Glad you are as happy with the Coopers as I am.

Road tyres like the SRX generally are quiet, comfortable and fuel efficient.

It's not a Coopers only trait.

Hi SD,

In comparison to other H/T tyres, such as Yokohama Geolander (which were on the Pajero at first). Only got 40,000km from those. That is what I'm going from and I reckon Craig would have had other H/T tyres before.

The SRX's are a new tyre and a god one in our eyes! I like the 80,000km warranty too!

We had the folding boat on the roff and the Platform - imagine the fuel econ if we didn't have those too!

Cheers,
Sally

So I've been giving the hankook atm rf10 a really good run and I'm very impressed. Wet grip is great, dry grip is great, noise is not bad, the Gc still accelerates and stops really well.

They really do suit the car, in stock size I'd still recommend the d697 but in 275/65r18 the Hankook is my choice for sure.

Hopefully I'll resolve the commercials and get a chance to get the mud terrains on my other set of wheels.

Just had 285/50/20 Nitto Terra Grapler G2's fitted yesterday, going to Fraser Island in 2 weeks so a nice test for them!
