WG Auto fluid leak
I have a WG 4.0l last weekend I went up the coast with the speed zone 110 kph most of the way. When I got home I noticed that the auto had spat out a fair amount of ATF. I had checked the level a few days beforehand and it was a poofteenth overful and also noticed the dipstick doesn't push all the way in for the top of the stick to seal the filler tube.
I cleaned the spill and have't noticed any fluid leak again.
The question is... would the fluid be forced up the filler tube with the high speed driving because that is where the fluid seemed to have come from and ran back all over the underbody I think it would have been lucky to have lost half a cup full. Or could there be another underlying problem to cause that.
The tanny is working fine and no unusual noises emanating from the box either.
I have another long run to do shortly and are a little concerned
Cheers
