Hi

Just got my passenger side air bag replaced on my 2007 built JKU 2.8CRD 10 days ago here in UK
For your info:
Warranty Invoice states - Carried out S43 Recall
Part No CBXZS435AA AIR BAG Unit Price £16.84 Labour £34.00

Got the Clock Spring / Air bag done a few weeks ago.

UPDATE
Just got Official FCA (UK) S43 Recall Notification today for 2007-2012 Wranglers

When I told the girl at Jeep Customer Service Australia I would disconnect/remove it, she told me I was in some sort of breach for obstructing an installed safety device. To which I said "a safety device you've installed that will take my passengers face-off"

Then perhaps we sould just break the wiring & plug the connectors back in again. Then it is still unobstructed yet still rendered safe.

Let them fix the wiring when they replace it.

Good news everyone!



Called up about this one again. According to the staff on 1300 133 079, the parts are coming in now. Initially to QLD & NT due to higher humidity there. They called my local dealer here in NSW & they apparently have the parts in now, so I'll call them up to book in and have them redo the clockspring one as the horn only works when going around corners...

I got another letter yesterday so I gave my local dealer a call.

The girl on the phone laughed at me when I asked if there was any time frame on when the parts may be in. All I could reply was "That's what I thought you would say".

She said that the dealers are doing them in batches and they are only looking at 07 - 09 models at the moment and can't understand why FCA are still sending out letters.

Apparently I was the 4th person this week asking.

So now I just wait and hope that my wife doesn't require an airbag if we crash.
