Swapping IR remote locking to Radio
Gents, I'm keen to swap over the old keyless entry to radio control rather than the existing IR on my 1996 XJ.
The remote kit is simple enough, purchased off eBay now I just need the pinouts on the factory wiring.
I've seen the YouTube vids but none so far match the wiring colours that I have.
Two possible locations for the new receiver are:
1: in the original location in the roof
2: under the dash/ behind the DS kick panel
I have some guesses from other re-wiring so far.
Existing colours on the PCB connector are
1: Pink ( Guessing = 12v power+?)
2: N/C
3: Orange/Violet
4: Pink/Violet
5: Blue/Orange
6: N/C
7: N/C
8:White/Black
9: N/C
10: Black. (Guessing = battery ground/ -?)
11: N/C
12:Yellow. (Guesding = Interior lights?)
I'm assuming I only need +,-, lock & unlock for it to function correctly, with the horn, indicators and interior lights being extras if I want to add them.
Has anyone done this?
What are the pinouts?
Any links would be helpful too.

I wrote this guide about 1yr ago when I did mine, the universals have slight variation in wiring and Chinglish instructions
its in where the old circuit board was, pre-update, wiring harness jammed up into roof space, works great

Thanks Auscruiser, This is PERFECT gives me all the colours I need for the lock and unlock, weird that the PIN numbers are different.
Wonder what I do with the other wires, fused ignition switch and the key lock sense?
The receiver also has outputs for indicators/ horn, window wind up and boot release.
AWG, I'll take a look at your link too.
Cheers!
