That's probably the issue he is having. I'm so used to mine I never thought of it. Because the brake pedal is higher he isn't lifting his foot high enough to clear the brake pedal.

I had this with my 2012 when wearing safety boots. Simple fix is move the OBD2 connector. Pull it off the bracket and it tucks away above the wiring harness. Mechanics have had no trouble locating it.
Thin bracket is easy to snap off to remove the problem.
Seems to be a RHD peculiarity.

That makes sense. The LHD would have it near the clutch pedal.
In the few cases they had a manual...

Had the same problem and real trouble driving the thing, mate and the dealer laughing at me. Got used to that quick, no good spot for the left foot to rest took a little longer. While I'm at it the clutch pedal has way more throw than is useful and I don't like the friction point.
