Any good tracks at/near Townsville

In a few weeks I'll have the front end sorted and put some decent tyres on it and I'll be good to go! Will get in touch - have a couple mates (non-jeeps) with whom we could definately organise a nice day out. Somehow, on a Sunday arvo we always end up celebrating or commiserating at the Seaview with a few. Either way, always a good way to waste an afternoon...

I remember driving all over Mt Louisa ten years ago in my old hilux

I thought it was all covered in houses nowadays ('cept for that secret US military bunker they reckon is hidden there somewhere)
