Default AW4 Issue

Hi Xjers,
I've checked past auto threads and can't seem to find anyone who has had this issue. A year ago I drove the car a long way not knowing the cooler lines were crushed. Fixed lines and servied auto. On road operation seems fine, sometimes torque converter wont lock up on the freeway, not a massive prob.
What is a problem is that when Im in Lo and under load off road, I have to rev it up to 3000rpm before it even thinks of crawling foward. Even needs to be reved right up to reverse back down the hill!
At the auto specialist now, obviously he thinks Im crazy because it works perfectly just driving around town, pulled the pan off and said internally its all clean.
That doesnt inspire much confidence. Im hoping someone has an idea of what the problem may be.
Any advice would be appeciated.
Thanx.

Sounds very similar to the issue I have been tracing in mine for the past week or so. See the link below for what I found, turns out I have a bad solenoid.

When you are having trouble taking off have you tried selecting the 1-2 range on your gearbox, this is what I found with mine, once warm the auto would try to take off in 3rd gear, but if I put it in 1-2 it uses 1st. From my reading so far I suspect that the position of the shift rod in this position allows the gearbox to activate 1st gear without the aid of the solenoid.
