Greenjk: what mods do you have on your wh? What sort of range are you getting out a tank for city and country driving?

Not greenjk. But my hemi with ~32" mud tyres, 2" lift, brush bar, rear slides, under-body armour, rack with some pelican cases on the roof and a fit-out in the boot (maybe ~500-600kg of extra weight over stock.) gets around ~1100-1200km range in the country/touring (mostly depending on sand/gravel and headwind I think) with the stock tank + 110L aux tank. With maybe another 100km left in the tanks if I had to push it.

I can't remember range with just the stock tank, but it was low enough to be annoying, maybe 450-500km. So I put the aux tank in after a couple of weeks. Interestingly I gained maybe a 0.5-1L/100km on the highway with the aux tank. I recon it cleans up the airflow under the rear of the car.
Not sure if there's any petrol 4wds with a decent stock range for off-road touring anymore since the 145L prado?

Front ARB bar 50mm lift with hd springs f and r, sports muffler, 245/75/17 AT's on wrangler rims, roof rack and false floor with fridge slide for 80l waeco, roughly 350-400k per tank.
