some guys here have had troubles with their gutters...but think some havent too.

Your gutters are strong enough but watch out as the part of the gutter you can see from the side is a clip on plastic trim and the brackets can cause this bit to pop off

You must not mount racks to the gutters on the Cherokee Uni Body. They are designed to flex. My friend did it and 12 months later had a cracked windscreen. Another guy I talked with noticed a crack in the pillar when the trim was out feeding an aerial cable through. Apparently due to the rigid rack mounted to the gutters. As well take the time to have a look Cherokee’s with gutter-mounted racks they’re usually damaged if not wrecked…. See If I can find the article from Jeep about it.

Little Test:

Open back door, run the front wheel up on a kurb log or rock. Now! try and close rear door?
