Will Grab the photos taken by the engineer for you when i can. Got a busted collar bone so cant do much at the moment so mucking around with the scanner is a pain. Though i have the engineer report. Sorry but description of the modification to the steering box were off a bit.

This is from the engineering report. Relocation of Steering box
" ther original mounting has been pivoted (about the original front upper mounting bolt) back by 12.5mm and down by approx 25mm to improve the angle of the steering shaft. The side plates were cut, the mounting then pivoted down to the new position, (about the front plate) new side plates were fitted. A gusseted rear plate has been added. the intermediate shaft guid bearing has been relocated on its original mount to improve the angle of the steering shaft."

Where did you take your tj to get enginered? And what extractors are you running. I thought there was something different there when we were out last time.... It sounded good.

Why didn't you just get a drop pitman arm?? Now your steering box is sitting 1 inch lower to the ground/obstacles

Got the work done by Canberra Motorworks and certificate done by marloc engineering. But its engineered for NSW.

The extractors are second hand, they seem to have made a big difference. Back to getting bout 550kms per tanke. Got the extractors off my uncle who had them in his TJ before he took the engine out for a gen 3. Wouldnt know the brand sorry.

Will show the pics but this way suited the 2.5 inch lift. Drop pitman arms on the market were too big apparently and to get one custom made was not worth the expense they wanted to charge.

The reason they moved it back was to bring it back behind the ARB bull bar and more or less moved it up anyway given the angle of the chassis the steering box is situated in when stock.

Dont worry there was alot of tooing and frowing on my part when it came to this. I was pretty irritate when I found out his plan. Tho when we sat down and when over it all it made sense and made the steering box no more likely to be damaged than if it was left standard. I didnt believe the steering needed any changes as i wasnt going bigger than 3 inch at the time. He charged me nothing for it and has changed the steering dynamics completly for the better.
