I have just completed a complete change over of the 5 injectors (sourced as recons from Bailey Diesel) new seals and bolts.

The injectors do not need coding. fired up first go.

cracked one of the plastic t pieces in the injector return flow line, sourced brass replacement set from Hastings Diesel in Wauchope.

Used the Gedore removal tool kit to pull the injectors.

Cut a hole in the plenum over injectors 4 & 5 to avoid dropping the engine.

The engine will run if the injectors haven't been coded, however, it will not run as well as it should. If the injector classifications are different, get the ECU values changed. There is a procedure in the manual to do this.

When I replaced my injectors, two need recoding, after it was done there was a noticeable difference in power and smoothness.

Default Update

Finished the final 2 injectors.
found an article on seals and discussed with our local diesel wizard (Hastings)
installed the softer 1.5mm seals and got perfect result.
If you are on a second reseal, and have reseated the injector seats you can get 2mm thick seal.

It happened to me. I ended up heating a piece of copper pipe and pressing it in place of the broken nipple on the radiator. Held up just fine until I changed the radiator because if was clogged inside.
