Default KK: 2011 Limited Cherokee Build-Up

Figured I'd post something to track the build-up of my KK.

Its a completely stock 70th anniversary edition. Stock as of today anyway.

Today this arrived...

Its an manual Eaton E-locker. Goes in as soon as the 4.56 gearing arrives!

So the build up plans are well progressed with the KK booked in to get a lot of the gear installed while I pull a few extra shifts to pay for it.

Round one initial mods
Front end
Uneek Bull Bar with Bash plate- Murchison Products
2.5" lift Murchison Products
JBA upper control Arms (re-leave the stress from the lift) via Murchison Products (MPs)
Steering rack bracing- MPs
Dana 30 sized manual select Eaton E-locker- HARROP Australia
4.56 Gearing-MPs
General Grabber SRLs 31.6-nicely sized up to suit gearing- BJ Tmart
Rims-unsure, I may go steelies
Runva 11XP winch -Deering electrics

UnderBelly
Rock Sliders - I'm in two minds, and pricing will be the decider here, about making rock sliders up or paying a fab shop. If I make them up my first trip in the KK will be without the protection so I'll have to take it easy.
Mopar skid plates- looks like they can still be ordered so I'll be getting these for the underside. Fuel tank skid plate is pretty Xie.
Back
4.56 Gearing- MPs
Haymen Reece tow pack- ARB

Future mods
On the next phases of the build up I'm looking to sort out...
air intake, manifolds and exhaust in an effort to get some performance out of the V6.
Light bar.
Rood rack.
Dual battery system upgrade.

All but the tow pack and the wheels are paid for and should be hopefully on there way. Car booked with Jeep specialist Aztec 4X4 for next week and leave for the first road trip with family also locked in.

Progress to date:
In:
JBA Upper control arms, Murchison 2.5" KK lift, Uneek front bar and bash plate, trimming. This work was done by Dazz @ AZTECH 4X$. I'm pretty happy with the work.

31.6" General Grabber SRLs, Mickey Thompson zero offset rims. Bob Jane in Vic Park put in a couple of hours work tracking me down some rims. I was going to black steel but the KK has so little after market support I thought bugger it I'll throw some on some wicked rims. Pinions needed to be adjusted forward a touch and back of wheel wells had some quick grinding.

Old Muffler is gone and replaced by a straight through job with no baffles by Mettams (Mark) in Midland. I had the rest of the exhaust system checked by a performance shop and then recommended to leave it as its twin 2.5" stainless so its already pretty good. Bugger I was hopping I'd find more HP there. New Muffler has a good note to it without being stupid and waking up the neighbors.

Tow package by Midland towbars; unreal price at $650 installed with Ark plug. And wait to you see the strength it has with the XR6 victim.

Pics are about a day after the first round of mods. We hitched her straight up and hit the road for a week pulling the off road trailer. No trails yet just beach work until the steering bracing is done.

One week later some clown rear ended me. Him going around 45km in an XR6 and me stopped at a children's crossing with the rest of the traffic.

I've only just noticed your thread on the KK build, that is plenty of damage to the Ford.

I inspected the KK when it was with me getting the diff ratio's done, it was spot on, only cosmetic damage thankfully.

Regards
Daz

P.S This did happen before it came to me right??
