I just took my Air Vents out, dam they are tricky! not like the older style where you just turn them and pull them out, the 2013 i found theres a hole you must line up in the rotary vent to where the 'P' in JEEP is, you insert a 90deg pick the pull down, this releases the catch inside, only then can you turn the bezel CCW to remove the Vent. took me ages to work that one out! just lucky one vent turned CCW by force and came out (without breaking that plastic tab!) then once out i could see what had to be done for the rest, you obviously knew about that Stu.
Yeah it took a couple of YouTube videos for me to get it right. Was easy after the first one
Little bit of an update.....
Have colour coded all my lights... Just something to do
Changed my diff ratios to 4.56. Really good noticeable difference. Definitely more punchy and the gearing is much better!! Definitely worth the money!
My JK was featured in Overland 4x4 mag. Very happy with the result!!
Ordered door stays/check straps from Star Fab Engineering in the states so my doors will stay open all the time! Fitting them on Wednesday, can't wait!
Did a bit of a photoshoot when I went to Portarlington. Bit of a poser i know
With that amount of paint work and colour coding the 35s won't break anything as this Rubi is not going to be doing anything that needs them. Sorry just saying. Nice colour though!
Just saying, what a nice guy. Sorry just saying. Must be your addition to "if he even wheels" . You must be a top bloke at BJC.
GQTRBO,
Very very nice build mate and good on you for looking after it. I'll be stealing a few ideas for my build when the Targa JK arrives. Wilboar Fastback and Angled Knuckes Skewer, 35s.
The article states a rubicon has a bigger rear diff. Is this true?
The clowns writing for those mags have no idea. Rubicon has a D44 front diff instead of D30 in the Sport. Rears are the same in both, but Rubicon has 4.1 ratio

Yeah that's what I thought but I wasn't 100%. My dad has a subscription to overlander. Every issue I can pick at least a few things that are completely and utterly wrong. Let alone all the other stuff that is subjective and usually very wrong too.
Either way it's nice to see a jk instead of a bloody land rover discovery.

Thanks mate. It's amazing the amount of people comment on how clean it is.....
