I forgot to mention the "Border Security" add for Toyota.

Now I've spent years talking up Jeeps in front of avid Toyota drivers who seem to be brainwashed. Believing Toyota's are indestructible and not prone to common 4wd vehicle faults. Bullshit !

But I even felt like I was somewhat less of an Aussie bloke for not driving a Toyota, when I first saw that add.

********ing brilliant add, just wish Jeep had thought of it :(

The border security ads are great! They make you have a laugh and at the same time reflect upon the Toyota brand as a 4wd standard for the Australian outback.

I just had to laugh at some of the comments in the advertisement.

“can I get the collar down please”
“when did you have your last latte”
“are you a manscaper, sir? It look like you have been shaving your chest?”

This is gold, most people can relate to these comments, you would only have to drive down to James street, Newfarm on Sunday morning (coffee shop central) to see all of the situations in the advertisement. (White fluffy dogs, crocks, man bags, latte’s and manscaping)

We Aussies love to poke fun at our selves. This is another area where the jeep adds could take advantage and convince potential customers to connect with the jeep brand.

See attachment below for a good laugh!

No, they're definitely all images from the USA. Don't even consider bringing facts into the discussion.

I don't think its good to bag out another brand of vehicle to sell yours. Makes it seem Jeep is intimidated by Toyota. And lets be honest if Jeeps were as well made and comfortable to drive as Toyota's there would be no debate. :)

However Jeeps are a hell of alot more fun to own and drive.
