At least you won't have to buy a new screen for your ram head, you can just glue the old one back on
Even with the bowl filter on the top of my snorkel I still had a few of those yellow flowers in my filter plus a lot of dust. I think the flowers are too light to spin into the bowl and just get sucked straight down the intake.
