Default WK2 GC - Lower Fascia Removal

Hi Guys,
Just wondering if anyone with a WK2 GC has removed their lower fascia per the owners manual, and if so, any hints and tips to make it easier??

A few of the US forums make it sound like a full hoist job, but I can't see it being that hard.

Any help would be great.
CHeers,
Mark

it is a bit fiddly but easy once you have done it once
the worst bit is you need to use a bit of forcec to pull out the tab sections
i held onto the bumper above to stop flexing. the third time it seemed a bit easier
the problem with it off for 4 wd driving is washer bottle and on mine the pump for the air suspension is open up high so. my old jeep
GC didnt seem so naked when i took it off

the first time took 20 mins the second time 10mins
the trick is the force required to pull the tab sections out
need a bit of force

I'm taking my WK2 for its first offroad adventure up to Double Island Point in mid Feb, towing a trailer with about 8 kayaks on it. Has anyone worked out if this thing really needs to come out for moderate sand driving like the above?

Also, I'll be letting the tyres down to probably 22psi. Do I need to turn the Tyre Pressure warning alarm off & if so how - or have a I read the manual correctly that it will sound for 20mins and then stop?

Took mine up to stockton beach last weekend. Had no problems with clearance without removing the front fascia.
Points to note though:
- Had the 4wd system shut down and left us in 2wd only. "service 4wd" displayed on the OBD. Disconnected the battery and waited 10 minutes. Worked flawlessly after that.
- Jeep seamed to work better on the sand when left in AUTO rather than switching to SAND mode. Go figure??
- When in Offroad 2 height, once you exceed 40kmh it automatically drops you down to Offroad 1. Clearance still seamed okay for most of the normal beach driving at that height but in the dunes I was continuously slowing down and hitting the quadralift raiose button.

and forgot to mention that I dropped the tires down to 17psi. After the initial "beep" there was no audible sound but the tire pressure was always displayed on the OBD.
