Default Front drive shaft removal (nut issue) any tips appreciate it

I am having a lot of difficulty removing the 8mm bolts from the transfer case end as there is little space to get a socket in and the ring spanner just rounds off while the open end does the same seems like ridiculously heavy torque for a small bolt anyone had this issue? How did you manage?

You need a better ring spanner! I use an old Sidchrome I have had for 30+ years. I also have a German set with a name starting with an 'S'. The new Sidchrome are junk, probably made in China.
Gradually I am building a set of air hammer type sockets to replace the cheap ones I keep on breaking. Those sized bolts should come undone with a good 1/4 drive socket.

Have fun! Its too B###dy hot down here to be playing with cars.

Replace the nuts for next time if you have rounded them a bit

its 7/16, not 8mm, might help with not rounding the edges.
