It looks very good. Just a comment re safety. Iv'e seen these trombone drawbars fatigue and come apart at the "join".
I'd be very tempted to run the safety chain all the way past and onto the main drawbar. Or maybe a second safety chain that can be deployed when stretched...
Again - looks the part!

All up the cost for materials was around $1000.00. including wheels, stub axles, springs, rego etc. i used Duragal for the frame, saves getting it galvanised.

When you say come apart at the join do you mean the locking pin??.
