Default JK Teraflex front disconnects disspointment

Finally got around to getting some front disconnects!

Originally was planning on the JKS adjustables - out of stock.. So next choice was the Poly Performance, as they had relocating pins as well - out of stock...

So I saw the Teraflex, they were not adjustable but also came with relocating pins so I thought I would give them a shot (they were in stock).

They arrived this afternoon and I gave them a good look over. To say I was a little disalussioned would be a start..

The ends have grease nipples in them, nice touch to keep the bushes moving smoothly. However I then discovered they protrude way through the casing and into the bush, stopping it from moving freely. Will have to trim prob 2/3 of the thread off the nipples to stop them gouging out the bush.

Installed them into the vehicle, and discovered the speed clips to hold the bottom onto the pins are quite loose - sloopy loose to be honest.. Will have to modify them just to stop them rattling! They cant fall out, but will likely make an annoying noise.

So I installed the retainer pins and bracket (for when disconnected). The bracket is installed by simply removing the nut on the front body mount, then it slides onto the bolt and the nut does back up. Sounds fine, except the nut has a washer inbuilt and its to wide to comfortably fit inside the bend of the bracket.

Overall the design and build are not impressive.. Hope the rear track bar bracket is a little better built..

I love just pressing the button and voila.....

Watching people jump on the front bar, swearing, crawling in the dirt/mud and other fun activities just adds to the whole post wheeling excitement
