Default Leaking front crankshaft seal

Hello I drive a JKU diesel year 2007 with 177 hp.

The front crankshaft oil seal has been leaking several times now.
Does not seem to be a known problem because I know no one but me who has such problems with it. In total, it has already been replaced 3 times ...

What could be the cause? The shaft itself has no damage.

Thank you

How many miles / km's have you got on the engine ?
I've got an April 2007 build 2.8CRD JKU also.
just replaced the oil pan & seal as it was both rusty (England) and weeping a bit.

Two things,

1. You’re not overfilled with oil are you? Just asking.
And
2. I found this about 2007’s from guys in the US with the same issue as yours -

“If you see it pooling by, and then dripping from your bell housing dust cover it could be the timing chain cover. There was a problem in the 07's with Chrysler using a porous timing chain cover material. It creates a leak that seems to pool by the bell housing. There is info on it if you search and in the TSB.”

Hello, thank you very much for your answers. Yes I have a 2.8 L diesel. The problem with the porous cover on the timing chain only affects the 2007 and 2008 3.8 L V6.
The engine has only run 87K kms

The problem is not with the oil pan & gasket, it keeps leaking at the crankshaft oil seal. The crank pressure is also not too high

Maybe just a mistake during installation after all??
