Default Experimenting with this...

Tyvokkers

I'm experimenting with this set up on the weekend thru Big Desert.

Right hand 2/3rd is sealed off with a fixed lid.
Left hand 1/3rd has a pigeon hole with access hatch to spare compartment.

All my rarely needed stuff goes in the spare wheel compartment. Lid closed. It's pretty roomy in there.

Recovery gear, compressor, puncture repair equipment, main tools in pigeon hole.

All the camping gear, clothes, goes next to pigeon hole, above pigeon hole etc.

Can still fold down 2/3rd back seat for long 4x4 Dune Queen bed for transport and other long stuff.

Getting to the spare wheel area is pretty easy. Just have to take stuff from in the pigeon hole.

I'll find out of it's good, or shit, this weekend camping.

Can't wait to see it, I rarely get to see any other Grands up close, after a few trips I have perfected my rear storage I think 👍
Although there is always something that could be better

I forgot to mention, there's no battery in the engine bay at all. That space is reserved for somethin' else later. And there's no battery in the spare wheel well either.

Keep in mind this is set up as purely a three occupant fun machine

I love looking at other set-ups too. Let's face it, these are rare to see around when in other than 'ahem' OEM 'ahem' stock release from factory

Gunna be a fun weekend

Which is why I'm always keen to see pics of what other people do, it's cool to see what other people do, it's a source of idea on how to do things, lol, and how to not do them if it doesn't work for me.

This site is a valuable resource, filled with ideas, inspiration, and amusement.

My opinion only, your mileage may vary. [emoji23]

Lol, a long drive from Brisbane. But! Having said that I'll be down in Geelong for holidays for the 2019 Avalon Airshow. With either one or both of my WJ's.

Digressing a wee bit, Doug. I was just at a collection of Me 109, Me 262, FW190, Mozzy, Spitty, Hurricane, Dakota, this arvo. Awesome WWII schtuff..

Frontrunner does an awesome 3 drawer and a fridge slide system. Looks mint.
