Thanks Scarps.

That's what I thought too in regards to the AT3 not being quiet on inspection, but I've heard the contrary.

I like an aggressive tyre too - previously had Cooper Zeon LTZ on 20's, and that was brilliant.

I've heard good and bad things about both though. And some recent reports that the siping in the Falkens are very shallow, which makes wet weather driving not so good.

Have had the AT3's on my WH for about 25K now and are still very happy, even off road.
They have gotten slightly louder since new, but still no where near as loud as the Cooper LTZ's.

Cheers, Craig

I have the Cooper AT/3's and they are a pretty good all round tyre. For an AT they are very good on road and in the wet. They have been on fire trails, sand and unsealed roads without issue.

However next time around I will be going with Bridgestone Dueler LT697 which is available as a LT265/60r18. I had the LT694's on my Jackaroo and they were an awesome tyre with excellent tread life and all round handling. The LT697 is the next generation to the LT694.

Cant really comment on the Falkens.

Falken WildPeak AT LT275/65r18
Cooper Discoverer AT3 P265/60r18

The Falken's are $67 per corner cheaper, but I'm worried that they won't be as good in the wet on tarmac and as quiet as the AT3's.

Thanks lads.

I would really have liked the Bridgestone D697 but, I really want a slightly larger tyre - little bit extra clearance.

I'm going to give the Falkens a crack tomorrow and see how they go.

I have a JK running mopar 2" lift and 285 cooper st max and they have been excellent in all conditions done around 50k now and still don't look worn. I am considering a Laredo with murchison lift and need to know if 275/18 will fit in the spare wheel well before deciding on options I want an aggressive AT tyre rather than MT the coopers are quiet on road also.

275's won't fit in the wheel well. Sits too high and the cargo floor won't sit flat.
Stu's putting 265/65/18's on my WK2 Laredo atm, and these will just fit in the wheel well.

Thanks Scarps
It is a real dilemma trying to decide best set up without spoiling the on road drive.
