I'm planning a trip to Stockton early next week. So got concerned when hearing it might be closed. I'm really looking forward to it. Seems like Stockton was busy over Easter.

What's the latest with Stockton Beach. Heading up there on Sunday.

It seem , apart from around the wreck , you are only allowed to drive between the dune and the water, not along the inland tracks.

Yes the only dune driving is south of the lavis lane entrance.
Heading north to Anna Bay it is only beach front driving.

Saying that though, there is still plenty of dunes to drive on though but no camping.

Try Blacksmiths beach its far better than Stockton.(And no permit required)

Just to update:

The Lavis lane entry seems to been upgraded since I was there last (2008 ) and it's wide enough to pass other vehicles now.

Dune area south is open and reasonably large.

Some parts of the beach drive towards Anna Bay could be quite narrow at a high tide, so something to keep a eye on.

There is a access road into Tin City from the beach if you want to take a look.

The servo at Anna bay has had their Air Hoses upgraded and there are now 2 at the back of the garage.
