Default Awesome tracks Tallarook Victoria

Had an awesome day out at Tallarook yesterday. Plenty of interesting tracks, some are quite steep and some very rocky. Would be very interesting in the wet. A bit like cobaw but steeper. Some of the hardest tracks I have done, certainly harder than Ellis track, getting close to the centre line of Rocky track. The is also an old lake/dam that is great spot to swim. Recommend getting the Rooftop Map of the area. Anything that is a dotted line will be good. Good idea to take recovery gear, I didn't need it but it would be easy to get quite stuck. Sliders were handy too.

Try Phone trk, Any of the Tehan trks if its wet, track running East off Jenkins rd, trk between Brandy corner rd and Main brandy trk. Inness trk is supposed to be good but didn't do it.

There is a BP south of Tallarook to air up. Air at truck service station is FAST.

This track was off Tehan 2. Quite steep with a big ledge. wouldn't attempt if the rocks were wet. JK went straight up.

Ignore the blue line, for some reason it hasn't traced the whole route.

Yeah I love it out there. It's been my favourite day trip from Melbourne the past couple of years. Phone track is an absolute cracker! I haven't done the left line yet, too scared of damaging my truck... There are some great "secrete" unmarked tracks too!

Yeah I wouldn't do the left line. I reckon I would break something expensive. Not worth it.

Great pics can't wait to go check them out, but this comment lost me...

Centre line of Rocky is a walk in the park compared to Ellis. I've never had an issue up Rocky Track (centre line, I've driven that track since there was only one line!) but not taking any of the chicken lines on Ellis and you are winching (The first obstacle on Ellis, the large rock on the left has munched more than a handful of sliders and twin locked 35's can struggle to get over it). And the step up further up Ellis needs a foot full of berries to get over (unless again you take then chicken track)...

To say Rocky is harder than Ellis is untrue in my opinion...

I didn't realise anyone actually drove over that rock at Ellis. I have seen a few special cars give it a go and they weren't close. Short of a rock crawler does anything get up it?

Iirc I drove everything else on Ellis except that step up. I dunno maybe I was underwhelmed after all the hype about it.
Rocky track is a lot worse now than 2 years ago, at least I think so.

Not trying to deceive anyone, just my observations.

Richo's TJ went up it unassisted, along with Yanke Daves TJ on our trip.

Here's a shot of my TJ on it.
