Inside the cabin, there is a rubber grommet next to the rear of the roll bar. This gives you internal access to the void behind the tail light in the rear quarter panel (It's the same on both left and right sides of the vehicle).

At the bottom of this void is a plastic cover that leads directly behind the rear bar. Very simple and no cutting needed.

So I have finally put the compressor in, after much deliberation with my installer we went in a different direction and installed the twin compressor in the rear cargo compartment area, and ran the air hose to above the subwoofer.

I'm interested to know how the rear cargo setup goes with the heat and if there is a noticeable noise reduction in the cab. i'm about to install air lockers in my jk at the moment and was looking at the under seat mount originally.

Hey mate, gets pretty hot in the confined space, about 2 mins of use melted the stock plastic air line, so I have the flap open when using it and replaced the lines with metal braided ones. No issues since then.
