Brawn are hooking me up with a small RTV winch thingy for the rear... I'm not running a full size winch back there.
You have to be careful with a boat winch, as they tend to re-coil under load - they don't hold the axel... a few people have fallen foul of this one already.
I will put a (bolt in?) side intrusion bar on the cage, but won't be on for We Rock #2.
No window nets required either... they recommend that you consider nets or wrist restraints, but they are not required. I'll be going for the restraints.
Cage is built to minimal weight while still hitting all the required specs for the comps... same weight as a 6 point cage, but 2 points hit the floor instead of the uprights.
Some things you can cut, others you can't. I won't be machining my axel shafts smaller to drop weight either.
Once im up and running will be running a tubed door, very light with clear plastic so that I can see through it. Wont offer protection, but will stop knees from falling out.
