Did you install a set of these then did you Rainman and if so worth the extra $$$
Just be aware that yours and Rainman's are very different vehicles, OBD1 v OBD2 for starters...

So JJ, would you recommend stock standard type then? Has anyone replaced recently and if so $$$ and from where.

Also just replaced both headlight lenses, ($50 each) and an upgraded headlight loom, SO much better.

Cheers for your help JJ with that as well.

I've not had experience with different types of O2 sensors but new stock spec units would mosy likely be an improvement as they slow down with age, you may also find that your cat could be partially blocked as well which won't be helping it run as good as it can...

You're welcome by the way...

.
I did my O2 sensors about six months ago. Bought from "Rock Auto" for around $120 for two delivered. I also reset my ECU.
NTK is OEM.

I did post it up a few years ago in "My New Pilgrimage" a thread I had on AJOR.
Best things you can do for fuel economy is adjust your driving style

My windscreen crack I recently posted about is getting worse now everyday. I have ordered a new one. Should be fitted on Wednesday. Merry Christmas to me.

factory oxy sensors are narrow band. The PCM can not use a wide band.
A wide band will give you read out of the real time Air fuel ration as you drive, telling you how rich/ lean it is running.
if you have anything like a stock system A wide band is not really nessary.

Often cracks in the exhaust manifold can let oxygen into the exhaust system, causing the perfectly working oxygen sensor to detect a lean condition= to much oxygen, so the pCM chucks more fuel in.
ie. the crack can cause it to run rich.

I have 703 neon injectors, in mine. which are fine for obd 1 vehicles but a bit much for a OBD2 cause of the higher pressure in the fuel rail.
