Fitted a HID globes to jeep #1. I got the globes as part of a very cheap job lot. They are 6000k globes with 55w ballasts. The ones that move in for high beam. Was a bit of stuffing around to make it all fit & work. Did it so I could go back to QI as a straight plug in if I didnt like it. Needed a diode to separate hi & low beam circuits. Just one relay for the lights, & power to the globes for the high beam electro-magnets.
They make the QI driving lights look yellow. They do a better job of lighting road signs than my old 130w QI high-beam. 75 or 100w HID would be even better, probably with 5000k globes. This was a budget fit though.

Engine mounts
Just replaced both Left & Right side, fairly easy job. Got mine "over the counter' (in stock) from local Repco store at a good price.
Each side is different.

What did you do to your XJ today ?
Recently swapped out my 30s for 31x10.5 Silverstone muddies on 15x7 King wheels of unknown backspace, likely 4", at a good price ($400 - 6 months old) and onto a few things for rego now. Used muffler putty on my headers and its cleared most of the leak up, just need to tighten them up against the head. Need to fix the wiring to the 3rd brake light and realign the front diff as it is now poking out a bit much on the drivers side where before it wasn't noticeable. Mud flaps need to ideally be adjusted out too.
Otherwise finally got around to doing the bull bar today, cut the slots for the LED super-slim bars then etch primed and painted black. Came up alright.
