Default Positive Service Experience - Alessi Motors Albury

With all the reports of poor service I thought I had better share a recent positive warranty experience with my Jeep dealer. As positive as it can get when something breaks that shouldn't.

MY14 CRD Laredo with 4 months left on warranty. In for a 70,000km service and I told them there was a 'clack' in the steering and one of the DRL LEDs was turning purple. Steering rack mounting bracket was broken so a new steering rack was required, the entire driver's side headlight assembly had to be replaced to fix the few purple LEDs, and they also found a leak in the washer fluid bottle so that needed replacement too. All parts were ordered on the day with an expected delivery time of 3 weeks and an advisory not to drive the car with the steering rack in that condition. [At this point I actually thought could borrow my daughter's Mazda3 as a spare but that is another story]

Parts came in two weeks. Repairs took two days which seems fair since the rack alone takes 8 hours and they also had to remove/replace my ARB bar/winch and the Chief bashplate. 2.5 hour labour for non-genuine parts and no other charges. And no arguments.

I drove in on the 2nd of Jan - no appointment
They checked my Overland, cleared an error message and sent me on my way despite being booked out.
Very courteous, very helpful

Good to know guys. I'm in Wagga and I haven't dealt with the dealer for servicing yet but at least I can pop down to Albury if I have any dramas.

I also had a good experience with this dealer, back in 2010. On return from Qld to Vic I had the turbo intake hose developed a serious leak and triggered a limp mode situation. They diagnosed the fault quickly and ordered in the part and had me going again and were quite pleasant to deal with.
