Possibly cut into the ignition switch wiring from the column. check in there.
Should be easy to sort if it's the starter circuit they cut.

Okay will do, will it be a control box or a relay of some sort controlling the immobilizer?

There is likely a black box in there some where, as mentioned trace back to it from your flashing LED.
There is possibly an override switch hidden some place close to the box, used for valet or mechanic to drive without the alarm fob etc.
There is no point keeping the current immobiliser/alarm if you don't have the fob, pull it out and start again with a radio remote central locking box. Mine works fine down under the dash.

Had a look this morning and have this...

Reckon I could rewire this into a new unit?

Unit was swapped for a newer one with 2 new fobs. Autobarn had it done in 2 hrs lol. Now I can start my car
