What didn't you just drill a hole in each corner and cut the straights with a jigsaw or cut off wheel? I do it like that all the time.

I used a nibbler for a rough cut
Then cut off wheel
Then file to finish them up
I want the best possible job i can do
Was always told if its worth doing, its worth doing properly
