Default Mounting UHF

I have a 2020 build Trailhawk and wanted to ask if there is a reason why l shouldn't mount my GME TX35505 UHF under the driver's or passenger's seat.

I know the battery is under the driver and the air suspension electronics under the passenger. Thank you.

I stuck the unit for my UHF to the carpet on the lid of the box under pax seat with silastic, holds well no dramas at all have done this with a number of vehicles, no need for screws or fancy brackets nowadays these things have no weight.... power from the circuit to the 12v socket in console, aerial is on bullbar and runs thru grommet on pax side under fan motor, mic bracket is behind gear shift and held down by double sided tape.

I have gone for the stealth look with the head unit in the centre console with the mic/controller. Take it out only when I need it the rest of the time its stowed out of sight. There is also a cable for your 12v feed right there off the cigarette socket. I have my aerial mounted to my front runner rack though with a 90 degree rotating mount so sits flat when not in use

Same here. Why the hell the first owner optioned it with a CD player when it has Bluetooth so you can use your phone for music is shitting me. It takes up too much room and I don’t use it. I haven’t had a CD now for years.
