For those of us who have broken the plastic clips on the low-pressure fuel lines... you need to be more careful!

These might be helpful:
90-degree: https://www.connect-consumables.co.uk/product/34041
Straight: https://www.connect-consumables.co.uk/product/34040

I have seen these on eBay for as cheap as $25 for a pack of five (including postage from UK).

The shaft seals for the Bosch injector pump 0445010019:

Bosch: F 00R 0P0 253
Mercedes: A 668 070 03 01

There are two of them.

Default MB 600 series motor training document - translated

There is a Daimler Chrysler training document floating around that is unfortunately only found in the Brazilian variety of Spanish/Portuguese.
Never mind that for us of the Inglese speaking variety... the download link below is for an English translated version:

No worries Adrian, there was a few hours wasted on that translation, but good practice for learning Spanish... even harder when you run into words borrowed from Portuguese!
Either way, it is always good to add to the engineering vocabulary.

One of the most interesting tid-bits I gleaned from that document is the fuel heater/recirc valve on the filter. Like many weird design elements, it is intended for sub-zero territory. It also includes a de-aerator function to remove bubbles.
Mine is just bypassed direct to tank to eliminate the bubbles from the fuel circuit, effectively breaking the loop.

Very interesting. Always wondered how that part on the fuel filter functioned. By saying yours is bypassed does this mean you have blocked the entry port in the fuel filter or did you use another type of filter (I know there are some 2.7 CRD owners who use the fuel filters without the water sensor on bottom and less holes on top)
