Default Group Buy? C-ROK RHD Steering Spacer & Frame Repair Kit
Hey all
I noticed I have cracks in the unibody around my steering box and as part of the repair want to spread the load over the area.
C-ROK do a bolt-on kit for RHD XJs that includes a replacement spacer and frame strengthening plate with replacement bolts. Although only US$99, after its weight and shocking exchange rate @ 1.37 a single kit is A$250 landed. However if ordering 5 the freight brings the cost down to a little more reasonable A$215 each.

That said, if anyone has something similar available for less locally I would be happy to entertain given the exchange rate doesn't look like it'll hit 2014 rates any time soon.

Get jeep to fix it, there was a recall & they still are repairing them under warranty even though the jeeps are 20 years old

I was under the impression that the recall was for cars older than around '96. Can anyone clarify this?

Yeah I'm pretty sure it was the warranty extension was for pre-updates but I can ask the question.

Came across these too but I don't really want to mess around with welding too much. If I'm going to go to the hassle I'd probably go a much larger coverage kit.

I've also enquired with JCR Offroad and Iron Rock Offroad but no joy in RHD specific.

Pre updates as well. Mine went thru the recall.

I reckon mine needs a look after 20 years ownership. 1 owner.
