The $14 sticker won't be any good as it needs to have the vin on it, if you get caught with a fake tyre placard there are huge fines for vehicle fraud, last guy I heard that got caught ended up with fines around the 15k mark, not a really cost effective option imo

That's interesting. I just checked both my cars and the jk has a partial vin on the tyre placard and the other one only has the usual tyre size/pressure info.

My2008 Unlimited CRD placard is for 255 75R 17 as this was standard on all wranglers in this year model be it Rubicon or not, 2 door, 4 door petrol diesel or the limited run of CRD offroad group packs and is similar overall size to the 255 70R 18 on the current Overlander.

Yep, my MY13 has 255/70x18 placarded - thats a 32" tyre. I run the earlier 255/75x17 Rubicon tyres ...... same size.
When they wear out, I'm going to 33's.....but thats it. I figure thats well and truly still legal everywhere.

I'm waiting for mine to run out as well and will move up to 33~34" tyre. Enough for me and keep it legal.

I have seen a Ute tonight at Brunswick St in New Farm wrapped in fancy warning patterns and the words "Transport Compliance Enforcement". Are these the guys in charge for the Police Blitz? I thought this ending yesterday with the Road Safety Month.

Interesting question , my BFG are marked 35x12.5x17, yet they measure 33, I wonder what they'd have to say about that
