Default New Tyres for Jeep Cherokee KJ
Hi Guys
Suggestions for new tyres. Currently have Hankook Dynapro ATM however too noisy for the wife. They have only done 5000km
Looking for a reasonable price tyre, thats good for road and beach and is quiet on the road. Rarely do bush track work dirt roads to campsites etc

I had the Bridgestone A/T duelers d697 and they where quite and grippy in most situations, the only reason I upgraded to MT is I do more tracks then anything else.

Currently have BF Goodrich ATs and cant fault them at all. Previously had Pirelli Scorpion ATR's which were a great tire on the road but picked up punctures quite easily.

Bought Dick Cepek Trail Country. Nice and quiet, good in the wet and not very expensive. Running them now for a good 6000km. Can't complain or fault them yet. Nice in the Sand too.

On my KJ CRD I'm about to put on Continental Cross Contact AT in a 245/70R16 purchased them during a buy 3 get 1 for free (purchased 4 one for free) the price was/is good on Continental from Bob Jane tyres.

I've used them on numerous other vehicles and have found them a great all terrain tyre.

Are all these recently mentioned tyres of the 'light truck' LT grade construction? Light truck type are really important if your doing a lot of outback touring as normal 'passenger' grade construction tyre just will not survive for long. Of course if your just daily driving in the city with an occasional weekend fire trail drive then 'P's are fine.

We are running these and so far so good. Only done about 5-6 thou on them but there are wearing well, are quiet enuff and have plenty of grip. Got em for a good price too..
