Did a run to Bli Bli and back, 1.5 hrs each way mostly 100 and 110kph zone so cruise set to 103 and 113, refuelled at home and the oil burner swallowed 8.4lt/100km, so about normal, but if I'm hooking around the nearest big town it will be upaorund 10 easy.
If your a right foot flat to the floor or lift right off fella, then you will burn heaps of fuel and the bloke who gives it just enough and doesn't stamp and lift will often beat you in a take off, not flogg the box and get better fuel consumption............. around Hervey Bay amongst the plebs I do burn up to 11 easy, seat goes forward a notch and the peddle gets a good tap dance, get into rally mode.................

2018 TH . average 8.5ish on highway and 10 around the city. I participate in the traffic light competition and drive my car like it's stolen. Diesel's love to be driven hard.

DPF health - every now and again, drive it like you stole it ! Or, take to a highway stretch put auto into third, take revs up to 500 below redline, set cruise and take it 10mins up the highway and ten mins back. Gets the DPF red hot and burns off all the nasty stuff.

Haha! I'm normally pretty mild mannered behind the wheel, but couple of days ago my inner teen devil came out. Saw a boy racer 'tradie' in his Ranger weaving and lane hopping (6 lanes divided hwy) to get ahead of everyone, pumping the thing like it's a Ferrari on heat.

Pulled up alongside him at the lights. Admittedly I had the GC in Sport mode at the time and iDrive on U5 as always, lights turned green and let her rip. Boy racer in the mirror disappeared further into the background, I imagine with jaw on the floor. Never saw him again. "Pull ya' self together and grow up" I told myself, then it occurred to me, having been confined to crawling around the immediate 'burbs for 6 months in lock down the DPF would have loved it, just needed to be a longer run though. Once we're 'open for business' again down here she'll be let loose for a bloody good burn for a lot longer.

2015 Limited Ecodiesel has returned 6.7 - 15.85 L per 100km.

The high has only showed up 3 times towing 1.7 tons and doing 110kph. Otherwise my towing returns 12.5 - 14 L per 100km.

Usually I see sub 10 L per 100km on a mix of town/highway around Melbourne.

Cheers,

DM
