Check out my Ride(s)
Default EGR coolant hose.

The one hose I have not replaced yet is the EGR coolant one. I have looked for it on the RockAuto site but could not find it. Can it be purchased locally without being ripped off through Jeep? The other thing I was looking for on the RockAuto site was the plastic bypass tube next to the thermostat housing, but again could not find it! Maybe I am doing something wrong? I can find all the other things to do with the EGR cooler and the thermostat housing etc but not the 2 things I am after!
Any help out there please?

I bought the EGR coolant hose today from a local dealership, trade price is $49. Its a complex hose in that is short, 90 degree bend, and has 2 different sized ends, so no easy to replicate with a generic hose. Can possibly find it from another vehicle if you rummage through a heater/coolant hose bin at your local auto parts store.

Coolant bypass pipe you mention is $290 trade at the dealership. Pretty steep. Have seen them on eBay for cheaper. I had no choice but to get the dealer supplied one as mine started leaking yesterday and I'm planning a trip this weekend. Can tell you the updated version has orange o rings and is a very snug fit. I expect it will last for many years (at least that's what I'm telling myself to feel better after paying their price).

Heaps of by-pass units to choose from on Ebay, for around the $30 mark, but like everything purchased from Ebay, read sellers reviews.in regards to item being purchased, item might look similar, but thats where it ends.

I have bought from this ebay seller a few parts for different models over the years and they were always genuine parts that never gave any problem..

https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/363223703648

Rockauto had them listed as out of stock, its under cooling system top of the list.

I'm up for a new one as well and tossing up genuine vs eBay special - if both are going to go bad eventually, I'm tempted to just get the eBay one. Can replace 5 cheapies for the price of one genuine
