I understand it was a retrospective call. I only use Penrite enviro+ 5w40 in my 2013.

Totally agree with you Drover, being a 2016 built GC I use a Good quality 5w-40 synthetic motor oil, Be a long time before I pay bloody $73 for a filter, I have found Cooper/Wesfil to be just as good if not better in comparison to the Chinese made Ryco

$73 for a filter be buggered I've been buying mine from Bretts this time around and is about $90 for the lot I think except tranny of course..... I think they are Jap but most filters are chinky now, even my old favourites Mann are chinese now.... Going along with my genuine chinese made Jeep wheels.

Genuine Mopar (made in China)

Wesfil & Ryco are owned by the same parent company.

Can vouch for Bretts Filters & Truck Parts, and being only 15 mins up the road from work, Paid something like $79 for a complete service filter kit ( 2 fuel filters,) oil filter, air filter and it was $19 for the new Pollen filter
Truck driver from work got his complete filter service kit for his Nissan Navara NP300 for less than the genuine Nissan oil filter
