Default Importing complete Dana 44 G2 axle Assembly

Has anyone in Australia imported this http://www.quadratec.com/products/52461_10XX_PG.htm

I got a quote for shipping 2 of them for around $1600 to Adelaide...plus port fees in Adelaide I assume.
Price for both ends & shipping worked out about the same as a local diff expert changing my ratios and installing Ected lockers in my stock D30 & D44 except he didn't want to do the wiring.

Local guy has had my $2k deposit for friggin months and I am wishing I just imported the complete setup.

Just need to remember that import these from the US will still need a few mods as these are setup for left hand drive.

I've only come across 1 or 2 companies in the US that will do the dana 44 to suit right hand drive. By the time you purchase the diff, gears, locker, get it all modified, shipped and pay all the customs crap it worked out cheaper to have a local company here to build a custom fabricated 9"

If you really wanted to go to the hassle of purchase and import of the diffs from the US then take a look at either the ecgs dana 60's from East Coast Gear supply or the rockjock 60 from currie. These things are built tuffer than anything i've seen under any jeep.

Ok so its $3000US ($3500AUS), then you'll be looking at roughly $600-1000US ($690-$1150AUS) in shipping, then customs duty, fees and gst will be at least another $600-700, then you'll need to take it to a diff shop here to have it all pulled apart and modified for right hand drive then have it all rebuilt again which i'm guessing you'd have to allow at lease another $1000-1500 in labour and parts.

So far your upto roughly $6850AUS for a front dana 44.

I hate to say it but it's not $3k. By my crude maths that front diff will owe you about $5150 in AUD. Then you still need to change the front panhard mount, pull out the old diff, remove the knuckles & brakes and refitt it all - or you need to allow to pay someone to do it. Heck even add another $20 in fluid.
You say you're bring 2 diffs - so is that a matching rear? If so by my crude math the $2682 (USD) will probably end up costing $4260.
0. Plus again yo need to change the panhard mount, remove the diff & brakes and refit - or pay someone to do it. Plus another $20 in fluid.
So now you are at $9450 AUD, AND you've still got all the labour I mentioned.
I don't want to rain on your parade, but you need to be a little more realistic in your pricing.
Edit: dang just beaten to the post

$400 Aus shipped from L.A to Perth. For the both.
Perth to Adelaide another $300.
Manufactured in the US so FTA no duty.
Only pay gst because over a G.

Panhard is a 20 min job to reweld as long as done properly. Some of the vendors do a right hand so get that if possible.
You have to rip out the existing axles so it really is only another couple of hours to do the rotors/hub.

Some of the G2's come with everything loaded if you pay for it anyway I thought?

So who covers the warranty if anything is to go wrong?
If the diff has been modified its highly unlikely if any manufacturer will warrant it.

Not saying anything will go wrong, just putting food for thought out there. And considering how hard the diffs work and punishment it goes through, I think i'd like to know that the warranty is covered by someone local that i can deal with and return it to with ease should anything ever go wrong.
