Mine are the 1.5" ones. I think a 1" would be better as you wouldnt have as much sticking out of the guard but the good brands dont make them and i didnt really trust the chinese ebay ones. I would also be concerened the existing threads would be longer than 1" so they would interfere with the mounting surface for the wheel. Hope that makes sense

I bought mine locally from SBR offroad put them on over a year ago and haven't had a single issue. I did a lot of research as well and never found a single negative review about them. They are loctite on and torqued so i dont see how they could come off.

Pics of the car with them fitted, they can and do break and come loose, it wouldn't stop me running them, but I would check them regularily

When I bought mine it had 265/70/R17s on it they were light ATs and they had been rubbing at full lock and also hitting the pinch weld under compression. I drove it like it was for a few months and only a handful of times did I notice the rubbing.

Just retired the old general grabber at2 after 85,000 km of loyal service!

I got a set of 2nd hand BFG AT fitted up yesterday, slightly bigger now at 265/65/17 and as I expected there is a bees d... Between the upper control arm bolt and tyre. Has anyone here tried cutting the bolt down or does it make servicing the ball joint too difficult? Don't have funds for the JBA uppers right now and not keen on spacers.

Cheers

Grind the head of but put 2 flats opposite each other on the threaded part so you can still get a grip with a spanner.
