Default BFG TA Ko2 in 275/65/18

G'day all.

Looking for a new set of tires for my Overland.

Anyone running these BFGs in 275/65/18 on diesel Grands with air suspension?

Any issues with rubbing?

How difficult it is to have a speedo reprogrammed to show the correct speed and mileage?

Thanks

That size will put the speedo close to spot on. At worst, 2km/h under actual at 100 clicks... so within most Aussie law enforcement margins.

They will be close, but they will fit.

Cheers, Steve

I run them in a 265 without rubbing and have checked my speedo against a couple of different GPS based apps and a standalone GPS navigator and they all appear to spot with the speedo

My 2011 JGC came with 20" wheels, so I got a set of 8JX18” H2 ET50 Alloy Wheels supposedly taken from another Jeep, but the model is unknown to me.

I put those BFG KO2 tyres on, and have had only one issue, although I have the standard suspension.

When running with out the lower front bumper in place, on the way to and from an off roading event, the force of the wind pushed the wheel arch liner back onto the front of the wheel, and has worn it away.

As already mentioned, the speedo now reads about 1 mph more than my GPS shows at 50mph... e.g, speedo shows 50, GPS shows 49.

This site has some handy calculators to compare size .......... https://www.carbibles.com/calculators/

My WK the front wheel arch liner has been worn away as I think when the bar work was done they didn't pin it down properly, the window washer bottle was open to everything but I patched it with a bit of alloy sheet riveted to the felt stuff, works very well.
