Default Spare tyre fitting in the boot.

Just upgraded to the KO2s in 265/65/18

Now looking to get a matching size spare.

Any idea if Falken Wildpick or Hankook Dynapro in 265/65/18 would fit in the spare compartment on the still rim and allow the lid to be latched? I know that the bins will have to go, and that’s no problem.

Thanks.

Yep the Hankook Dynapro in 265/65/18 fit in the spare compartment. Have this exact set of tire on the steels

Been thinking along similar lines for my new rubber,
https://tiresize.com/comparison/

This gives great detail on dimensions as well as speedo error including off sets...

I suppose 110kph on the dial and actually 114kph just means set cruise just under...I doubt it would throw out the electronic brain for rev/shift change enough to worry about though the fuel economy computer would be out the window.

hi sockeye.
I have the same problem, went from 20's to a set of wrangler 18's with the falken wildpeak on, still have to sort out a spare after about 18 months , good to know it will fit in the well.

drover
my fuel consumption went up by about 1ltr per 100k's and made the speedo about 3-5kmh over so cant complain too much and they are wearing pretty good and even.

I calibrated the car today with GPS. To my surprise the difference between speedo and GPS is negligible.

I went from 265/60/18 stock Michelines to 265/65/18 BFG TA KO2. When I travel 100 km/h as per speedo the GPS speed is 101 km/h.

Just ordered Hankook Dynapro 265/65/18 as a spare. $200 shipped via Ebay.

Why wouldn't you just use another KO2 as your spare?
It fits fine.
