Well my Teraflex lift is in and its riding well ..although taller than even I had expected. No doubt it will settle some with time. I went with the Rancho drop brackets and they've worked a treat. The front feels more precise now and the bump asbsorption much better also.
A problem today however. We had to postpone the bump stop replacement as the stops came to pieces on being removed and I had to get some spares. We did this today, along with an adjustable track bar and new steering damper and relocation bracket. ... All seemed well until we went for a test drive and the ESP went schitzo on me. On off.. on off.. dry road or wet.. hard surface or dirt. I nursed it home and now the ESP and the ESP/BAS lights are permanently on. I was leaving the steering wheel adjustment until it went in for alignment next week but wonder... is this likely the culprit..or something more sinister...and $$$. ? I could do with a cheap fix for a change
I would add there was no such problem until we fitted the new track bar/ panhard rod . Just developed after todays work.

Yes, if the steering is off center, it will throw those. You can get it pretty close at home. Just drive in straight, then you can adjust it until the wheel is centered, or you can use an ELM327 & say, torque to read the steering angle.

Mine did the same the other day so I read the steering angle with JScan and did some adjustment which is very simple. I’ll get the alignment checked this week though so I can get a more accurate wheel centre position on the alignment rack.

Thanks for the feedback once again. I'll nurse it through the next week until I can get a wheel alignment done. The ESP light can be switched off now... which it wouldnt before but it still comes on every time I start the car. The ESP/BAS light remains on and constant. Not sure the track bar has it centred yet either so hopefully they'll do that too. Difficult to do on uneven, muddy ground and get it 'spot on'. Fingers crossed, once done...those lights will go away and the ESP wont kick in every 30 seconds or so. It hasnt since yesterday..but its knocked my confidence in it a little.
rgds.. J.B.
