Are you certain there is no DPF? I thought all Australian models had DPF's fitted. Mine is an '07 and it appears to have one.

I have a 2009 JK CRD. NO DPF. What you see is a cat converter. Google what a DPF looks like. There are differences.

I think 2011+ JK CRD has DPF.

Is this a DPF or Cat Converter? Sorry about the poor angle of the pic.

Most likely a Cat. A DPF is usually parallel with the chassis underneath and a Cat is closer to the turbo. A DPF has metal pipes coming out of it and sensor wires. If that is what yours has then it is most likely a DPF. But also your year model also makes me think Cat as well.

That most certainly is an oxidisation catalyst.

I found bunnings sell Valvoline 5W-40 SynPower Full Synthetic Oil at $39.98 for 5L and this oil meets the ACEA B3/B4 requirements for JK CRD.

https://www.bunnings.com.au/valvolin...c-oil_p0066178

This saves time searching auto stores finding oil deals.
