Yeah, I think fitting matching indicator lights above the brake lights would look just right.

Are you planning to fit rear mudflaps? From memory, I think if the rear of the wheel arch is greater than 30cm off the ground, then mudflaps are required by law. Seeing as you're working with steel, you'd have a solid point to mount removeable mudflaps.

Already done, they are just removed at the moment.

When you've got the tyre carier on and a Jerry can of whatever, how are you going to mount the number plate ? (so its visable)

I'll probably put it on the swingarm or off a mount in the centre of the spare. That will be a nice easy problem to solve
