Default Stock JK needs new tyres & maybe lift..

Hey guys, I am getting close to requiring some new tyres.. I'm running a 2010 2 door that has stock running gear all round.. (bullbar, gobi racks, snorkel, tow bar)

I spend a fair portion of my driving in the bush and was just thinking of some A/T tyres like BFG or Coopers but a bit of light research leads me to think these tyres don't necessarily come in the same size as stock ones.

I have considered a small lift kit but unsure if I would need it as most of the off roading I do is light enough for my car, I do a bit of towing and touring so new springs might help with the additional weight I have got going though.

Any recommendations on what I should be looking at? I assume it will cost about $1000 or so for the new rubber. With any sort of new springs/lift would probably double that I guess.. not sure.

Cheers,
Dan

Best value tyres are to keep checking ebay and Gumtree for a set of factory A/T takeoff tyres...usually well under retail for some lightly worn almost new tyres.
Pretty much suit what you're after and you'd have money left over from the budget you mention.

Hell Dan, I don't know your location, but you can have my half worn ones. For about $100 you can have the std wheels they are wrapped around, I'll even throw in the air.
Can't even give them away in WA.

Sydney! Yeah not hugely keen on the logistics operation to get something slightly better than what I currently have.

I have seen a few sets going every now and then in the forums, makes me wonder how I get rid of my current wheels and tyres if I did that?
