And as for the Hemi comment, the CRD is quicker off the line and over a quarter mile is only half a car length behind the Hemi.
I also have the 06 Diesel Grand with the 265/70/17's,,,,, and I took it down the Kwinana drags strip on my wifes staff day.
It has a performance chip as well,,,,, I am not too sure of the milage, but i think its about 11.5 hwy and 12.0 around town,, depends on the foot!
My best time was a 15.91 second run,,,,,,
Heres the link,,, funny as hell that day,,,, I won 4 out of seven races,, and then retired,, she's not made for racing,,,,, ha ha ha

Just did a 3500Km run to Rosebud Vic and back over the last couple of days, the 2.7 did 9.7lt/100K overall, fuel consumption better at 104kph as it chewed a bit more coming out of Melb up the Hume with the Cruise set at 114kph, 8lts difference over 560Km. Great run except for the rain, had to change the wiper blades on the way, bugger all rain here in my part of QLD though. The Geolanders are a great tyre also.

When I was first driving my Jeep I was getting 10.2/100klm on the open road now after 20,000ks averaging 8.2/100klm on the open road mainly Townsville to Rockhampton and while towing my 6m caravan on flat road with the wind 13.5/100klm and against the wind 16.7/100klm.
I also like the quick take off pace if you need it was really dreading buying a diesel 4x4 because of how slow they are but from the first time I drove one on a test drive that sold me,even looking at buying a second one next year for the wife.
